Founder Story: A Search for Better That Became a Mission

In 2018, Goodfynd’s co-founder was in the middle of a life changing transition. He was leaving a career in property management and stepping into the world of UX design, a place where curiosity and creativity are essential. While he was learning the craft of thoughtful design, something else kept calling out to him. It was his love for food trucks.

He loved the energy, the food, the people behind the windows. But as a customer, he also felt the frustration that so many others felt. Food trucks were hard to find when you needed them most. Lines were long at times when people could not afford to wait. And the tools that owners relied on were outdated or far too expensive for a small business trying to survive.

He thought to himself there has to be a better way.

So he began creating one.

The Beginning of Goodfynd

With the heart of a designer and the perspective of a loyal customer, he started building what he believed would help both sides. Goodfynd began as a simple idea. Make food trucks easy to find. Make ordering accessible and affordable. Make owners feel supported instead of overwhelmed.

Then the world changed.

When the pandemic arrived, the problems in the food truck industry multiplied. Finding customers became harder. Managing operations became more complicated. Every day demanded a new level of flexibility. What started as a locator and ordering tool needed to grow into something deeper. So Goodfynd grew with it.

A Story Rooted in Family and First Generation Strength

All of Goodfynd’s founders are first generation Americans. We grew up watching our families build lives through small businesses. Some succeeded because they had access to the right tools. Others struggled because they never did. We saw how technology could lift a family up or leave them behind. That experience shaped everything we have created.

Goodfynd is not just a business idea. It is not the result of a trend or a market shift. It is a personal promise. We wanted to build something that gave small business owners the chance to thrive. We wanted the best tools at the lowest cost. We wanted fairness. We wanted opportunity. And we wanted every owner to feel like they had a partner who truly understood their struggle.
