About this role

We are looking for the most experienced and motivated engineers to help develop and maintain our infrastructure powering a three-sided marketplace of food trucks, consumers, and event coordinators. As a Front-End Engineer, you will oversee the design and development of the best online experience for all customers. You will work directly with the CTO and closely with the design team to create an intuitive user experience.

This role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. We move quickly and you will have a large impact on the product our end users interact with. Ultimately, you will be creating and maintaining components that the team will use. If you hold an engineering background, are driven and detail-oriented, and enjoy providing end-to-end software solutions, we would love to have you on the team.

You will:

Be product owner for many of our client facing applications

Review designs and clear up any outstanding questions/issues

Work directly with the CTO to design the architecture and design tech stack for each product

Estimate and prioritize the development of components

Evaluate code against industry standards and ensure compatibility with the most used web browsers

Write neat, readable and testable code

About you

Strong experience in web foundational languages such as HTML5/Javascript/CSS3

Strong understanding of React and Redux or other similar frameworks

Strong understanding of implementing backend APIs and using REST principles

Experience in unit testing

A great understanding of cross-browser compatibility, responsive design and web performance optimization

Experience architecting large-scale frontend applications

Experience writing proper documentation

Proven work experience in software development

Bonus points

B.S., M.S. or PhD in relevant field
